A SPECIAL service is being held in Redditch on Saturday, November 8 for families who have been affected by the loss of a child.
Anyone who has experienced an early pregnancy loss, stillbirth or neonatal death is welcome to attend the service starting at 11am at Ipsley Church, Ipsley Church Lane, Redditch B98 0AJ.
The service, titled ‘Not Out Of Mind’, is also open to healthcare workers who feel they have been affected by this in their line of work.
Organisers Trudy Berlet, bereavement support midwife and David Ryan, chaplain at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust have arranged the service to remind families that they are not alone. Grieving families will be invited to light a candle in memory of their baby.
Trudy said: “We arranged this service to bring families together who have experienced the tragic loss of a child. We know the incredible impact this loss makes on a family. This is an opportunity to come together to remember, as well as get some comfort from others who’ve been through the same thing."
People of all faiths and no faiths are welcome.
For more information contact Trudy Berlet on 07764 921 511 or David Ryan on 01527 505723.
