ALMOST 70 per cent of people in the West Midlands are planning to make New Year resolutions, a survey has found.

Although 69 per cent of people said they are planning to make resolutions, according to the YouGov poll for LowLow frozen ready meals, 35 per cent of people will break their resolution by the end of January.

Forty-six per cent of people said they are resolving to lose weight, and 24 per cent of people say they will take more care with their appearance.

Only five per cent of people said they were looking to give up smoking and 11 per cent are hoping to give up or reduce their alcohol intake.
