TWO Kingswinford school pupils have decided to chop off her long locks in aid of a charity that makes wigs from real hair for children battling cancer.

Isabelle Burrows, 9, and Charlotte Silcox, 8, will have a minimum of seven inches cut from their hair during a school assembly at Glynne Primary School on Monday (April 27) morning.

The girls’ hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust which provides real hair wigs – free of charge – to children throughout the UK that have lost their hair due to illness.

Amanda Burrows, Isabelle’s mother, said: “The girls are very excited to be doing this for such a special cause.

“Charlotte has wanted to do this for a number of years but her mom thought it better to wait until she understood how and what it means.

“Both girls want to help, and they understand that this is such a great trust which provides real hair wigs to children suffering hair loss due to cancer treatment.”

Not only are the girls donating the hair they get cut off in front of the rest of the school, but they have also raised £366 to date through their Just Giving page.

The girls have set a fundraising target of £400 for the trust but hope to raise as much money as they can.
