THERE are just a couple of days left to nominate your favourite place to eat in West Oxfordshire to ensure the best eateries are included in the new Oxfordshire Cotswolds Eating Out Guide.
The district council's tourism staff are busy collating the lists and more than 40 venues have already been named, ranging from inexpensive cafes and pubs to award-winning restaurants.
All those nominating their favourite eatery will be in with the chance of winning a £50 voucher for two people to spend at the pub/restaurant of their choice.
The top five pubs/restaurants put forward are also set to benefit as they will be given a free listing in the Guide.
Cllr James Mills, Cabinet Member responsible for tourism said: “Tourism is hugely important in West Oxfordshire and our team is often asked for advice about places to eat and drink. We believe the public are the best connoisseurs and, as everyone has a favourite eating place, we are looking forward to compiling what we believe will be an excellent Guide.”
Nominations must be made by Friday September 4 and the prize draw will take place on Wednesday September 9.
Forms can be accessed through the Oxfordshire Cotswolds’ Facebook and Twitter pages and on their website www.oxfordshirecotswolds.org
Entrants must be aged 18 or over. Places nominated must be in West Oxfordshire, serve sit down meals and be open to the public without payment of a separate entrance fee.
