THE hunt is now on to find Miss Worcestershire 2016 who will represent the county at the national finals of Miss England.

Girls aged 16 to 25 from within Worcestershire can apply to be in the competition with free auditions held at the Whitehouse Hotel, in Foregate Street, Worcester, on Sunday, November 1.

Last year's winner, Chloe Palmer, from Kidderminster, said she has had an incredible year representing the county.

Miss Palmer said: "I have had such an incredible year and have been lucky enough to keep my title an extra two months while they moved the date for this year.

"I have had some incredible experiences such as starting the Race for Life, turning on the Christmas Lights with Youthcomm radio and leading the Worcester Fashion Week.

"I have also worked very hard for Miss England, doing a Triathlon from Worcester to the Richoh Arena."

Around 25 girls from the information and interview day will be chosen to be part of the finals and will have to undertake work such as charity fundraising, social media, publicity and an eco-round.

As well as the national finals, the next Miss Worcestershire will take part in many future events across the city, such as fireworks, christmas lights, Worcester Fashion Week, charity events and local festivals.

The Miss Worcestershire finals will be taking place on Sunday, January 10 at the Worcester Warriors Sixways Stadium.
