YOUNG families have a chance to have fun for free and fall in love with Worcester at the cathedral as they delve a little deeper into its rich history.

Giant Jenga, head in the hole, muddy pig painting and decorating biscuits are among the activities on offer during half term on Wednesday and Thursday (February 17 and 18).

Other activities include 'magically turning one fish into six', bead jewellery making, balancing walk, soft ball throwing, and collaged bin bag coat making. All the fun activities represent a Bible character or story in a fun way and promote Messy Church activities already happening in other churches in the diocese.

All the activities will take place 10.30am and 12.30pm and between 2pm and 4pm daily in the south nave aisle with assistant education officer Sara Hayward and her team of volunteers.

The event is free with donations invited to cover costs.

As part of the Love Worcester trail children can also make a red heart quotation file to take away, follow trails around the cathedral and take trips up the tower.
