TRIBUTES have been paid to a "wonderful son and doting father" from Redditch who died following a crash in Wootton Wawen.

Robert Loach, aged 27, of Birmingham Road was riding his orange Kawasaki motorbike on Stratford Road when it was in a collision with a silver Ford Fiesta on Monday, 25 April.

A 35-year-old man has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving, he has been remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday, May 26. 

Mr Loach, a doting family man, who worked for Astwood Bank business S E Davis, leaves behind partner, Lian, and two young children aged one and three.

Lian said: "Robert was the world's most doting father, a loving and wonderful son and brother to seven cherished siblings. He was also a good friend to anyone that got to know him. He was my rock and my soul mate, the love of my life and I love him more than I could possibly say."

Robert's mother, Sam, said: "Robert was my first born son, a truly wonderful, inspirational person and most loving son."

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic area support officer and a doctor from the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance to the scene just after 8.30pm.

They said: "Ambulance staff arrived to find a motorcycle which had been involved in a collision with a car. The motorcyclist, a man, was in traumatic cardiac arrest. The medic and ambulance staff worked as a team to deliver advanced life support on the man.

"Sadly, the motorcyclist couldn’t be revived and he was confirmed dead on scene."

Warwickshire Police continues to investigate the crash.
