THE globe-trotting Halesowen Hound Dog is playing a rare gig in his hometown.

Mark Summers will be performing at Benjamins on Friday, June 10 and he has declared it will be the last time this year he will be in Halesowen.

The Elvis tribute will have his band the Memphis Sons supporting him at Benjamins.

He said: "I always love to play hometown shows, I have so much fun touring but its nice to come home and have fun.

"We have signed a deal in Europe for 2016-17 which means I will be away a lot so I wanted to try and get a local show before touring starts."

He added: "Plus, we have the best audiences in Halesowen.”

Winner of the National Tribute awards 2013 Mark tours continually worldwide but still loves playing in Halesowen, his last gig was at St Margaret’s Church, Hasbury where he raised over £2,000 for the church.

Tickets cost £8 and the shows starts at 8pm on Friday, June 10.
