RESIDENTS' concerns about Diamond Bus services have been taken all the way to the top.

Leader of Conservatives councillor Juliet Brunner, with councillor Brandon Clayton, recently met with Diamond's new general manger Dave Brundrit to discuss a number of issues raised by residents.

Cllr Brunner, who has one the busiest bus routes 57/58 go through her ward, said she has been inundated with complaints about poor service.

She said it was a productive meeting.

"I contacted Diamond and arranged to meet the new general manager to discuss the issues that had been raised about the service," said Cllr Brunner.

"We will be meeting regularly with Diamond Buses to continue to monitor their progress."

Cllr Clayton added: "Diamond Bus Company have an action plan to address all the concerns we had raised on behalf of residents."

The Advertiser reported last December that long suffering bus users in Redditch were promised a "noticeable" improvement on Diamond Bus services.

An action plan to improve public bus services in the town was agreed by Worcestershire County Council and Diamond Bus.

These were aimed at improving the service and focus on achieving improved reliability.
