A BANK holiday fun day in Alcester has been cancelled because of health and safety concerns.
Dozens of families were expected to flock to the sporty family fun day in Old Stratford Road for a fun-packed schedule of activities on Monday, August 29.
The event was organised by PCN Sports, a social enterprise offering youngsters more options in sport and training.
Organisers posting on Facebook said:"Currently Festival Fields are being cleared and the process is going to take longer than expected so due to health and safety reasons we are going to postpone the fun day.
"We are deeply sorry for an inconvenience caused. We will be in touch as soon as a new date has been confirmed."
PCN Sports are group of professionals volunteering to transfer experience and skills to youngsters at risk of offending or lacking the support to engage with opportunities that can improve their physical well-being or assist them to achieve their full potential.
