A 33-YEAR-old woman who went out with friends on the date which would have been her wedding anniversary has pleaded guilty to drink-driving.
Hannah Baker of Hillside Avenue, Hereford was stopped by police in Red Barn Drive on September 12 and had 71mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath- the limit is 35mg.
Hereford Magistrates Court heard that police stopped her at 10.40pm, following a tip-off, as she left The Grandstand.
She works at the pub but was not working that night and her dad had given her money to get a taxi home.
The court heard she was separated from her husband and the date would have marked their wedding anniversary.
Baker was disqualified from driving for 20 months, with the option to reduce this by 20 weeks if she takes a drink-drive rehabilitation course, and ordered to pay a £300 fine, a £30 victim surcharge and £125 costs.
