FORTY festive stockings crammed full of essentials and treats will be delivered to the homeless this Christmas.

The team at SW&A Accountants, based in Hallow, decided they would try and help residents at Maggs Day Centre with festive gifts.

They have pledged to make and deliver 40 Christmas stockings after discussions with Chelsea Roberts from Maggs to identify items that would be needed and most useful at this time of the year.

Staff are calling on people and businesses to help them source hats, gloves, socks, razors, deodorants, chocolate bars, cans of pop and are already starting to make the stocking up at its offices.

Neil Sysum, managing director, said: "We are using our links with local businesses and social media, particularly #WorcestershireHour and Facebook as well as professional networking group Sterling Networks to get some pledges from individuals and businesses that would like to help - with their help there is no reason we couldn't make the stocking count up to 100 which would be amazing."
