COMEDY fans can enjoy an evening of laughter while raising funds for charity.

A stellar line up of stand-up comedians will perform at Quality Hotel, Dudley, on Saturday, March 18.

Siblings Joanne and Dave Lester have teamed up with the Birmingham Road hotel to raise funds for White House Cancer Support, based in Ednam Road, Dudley, as it is a cause close to their hearts.

Joanne, who lives in Holly Hall, said: "The charity helped my partner through a tough time when his father died of cancer last year. I've held a few fundraisers at the Quality Hotel and they already help this charity so when they asked if I would mind helping them organise a couple of comedy nights this year, I said yes."

With help from her brother, the 39-year-old has managed to secure Gary Delaney, who is married to fellow comic Sarah Millican, to headline the show.

The Solihull born funnyman, who has appeared on TV's Mock The Week, will be joined by Dave Longley and Karen Bayley.

The MC for the evening will be Jim Bayes.

"It should be a hilarious night," said Joanne, who hopes to raise around £500 on the night.

"Gary Delaney is touring at the moment and tickets for his show are about £15 so to see three comedians for £12 at our event is a bargain."

Tickets for the show, which kicks off at 7.30pm are still available.
