A KIDDERMINSTER lawyer is in the running for the Solicitor of the Year award from the Worcestershire Law Society.
Claire Emery, who lives in Spennells, is a senior associate with Harrison Clark Rickerbys, specialising in corporate law and taking a leading role in the firm's healthcare team, advising dental practices on sales and acquisitions.
She said: "I am delighted to have been shortlisted - I know that the competition is strong, but I am glad to be in with a chance."
The annual Worcestershire Law Society awards will be held at Stanbrook Abbey on April 7.
Guest speaker for the awards dinner is Lord Digby Jones, local entrepreneur and former solicitor. He will be joined by Hursty - of Hursty and Helen - from Free Radio's morning show, as this year's master of ceremonies.
Priya Thomas, president of the Worcestershire Law Society, added: "We have a wealth of legal talent in the county and we celebrate that every year with these awards."
