THE quality of cooking at a North Herefordshire pub has been recognised.
Andy Link, chef/patron at The Riverside, Aymestrey, has just secured two AA rosettes for the outstanding quality of his cooking.
The Riverside, with Andy at the helm, has gained a formidable reputation for great food, and an interesting and varied seasonal menu, using the best of local produce.
The rooms at the inn have also been awarded four stars, with the pub noted for its 'charming surroundings'.
Andy and his team also tend a large kitchen garden which is located behind the pub, and supplies the kitchen with a variety of fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs throughout the year.
Andy said: "I am delighted with our latest award. It’s always great to receive recognition, and it pays testament to all the hard work and creativity that goes on in the kitchen here at The Riverside. But it isn’t just my award, it belongs to the entire team, and I’m proud of them."
