A HOST of new events will take place during a weekend celebrating 'sustainable living'.

The Spring Greens Fair, which showcases practical alternatives to the way we build, power, eat and travel, this year carries the message 'the way we live matters’.

Now in its eighth year, the event has become a highlight of the Sustainable Herefordshire year.

New events for this year will be:

• The kids are all bright! - For two days before the Fair the site will be given over to 10 local primary schools. Projects and workshops will explore ideas to improve house and home involving teamwork and cooperation, not competition.

• Makers Market – Local crafts, produce and gifts at ‘direct from the maker’ prices.

• Wooly Circus – featuring sheep

• Think tank/do tank – Presentations and discussions to spark creative and practicable ideas for changes to make life better. Practical demos of woodworking, stone carving, wirework and lots more.

• Feeding the body – local producers using pure, raw ingredients to make dishes for all tastes and types.

• Feeding the senses – Music from Slippery Slope and Bandangle and friends and the cleansing sound bath that is Brigid Brightfire.

The event takes place on both Saturday and Sunday at the Court of Noke, Pembridge.

Admission is free but there is a £5 charge for vehicle parking (except electric).
