MEMBERS of the public carried out CPR on a man in cardiac arrest before an ambulance arrived.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to reports of an unconscious man in the street outside Costcutter in Belmont Road, Hereford on April 26 at 9.22am.
An ambulance, a community paramedic and a paramedic area support officer arrived to find an elderly man in cardiac arrest.
An ambulance spokesman said: "Passers-by had already commenced excellent CPR on the man and ambulance staff took over resuscitation efforts before alerting the man on blue lights to Hereford County Hospital; advanced life support continued en route to A&E."
The spokesman was unable to provide any more details in relation to the outcome.
