A MAN and baby have been taken to hospital following a two car smash in Dudley.

Emergency services were called to Limes Road, at the junction with Laurel Road, at 9.27am this morning.

The man, who had been driving one of the cars and is believed to be in his 20s, had to be cut out of the vehicle by fire crews.

He had a cut to the head and complained of back, chest, shoulder and knee pain so was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment.

A baby boy travelling in the other car was also taken to hospital as a precaution and a woman and toddler were also assessed by paramedics at the scene.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said enquiries were still on-going, with no arrests made at this time.
