A MUM's expensive car was daubed in white paint by a vandal in a suspected grudge attack.

Julie Fielden’s Range Rover Evoque was parked on the driveway of her detached house in Wood Lesson Avenue, Lyppard Hanford, Warndon Villages, Worcester in the early hours of Saturday morning when the criminal damage occurred.

Mrs Fielden, wife of Warndon Parish Council’s vice chairman Nick Fielden, says the attack, which happened at around 1.50am, was captured on a neighbour’s CCTV camera. Footage has now been handed to West Mercia Police.

The 46-year-old, who reported the matter to police, said the CCTV showed a lone male squirting the passenger side of the car in what she believes is a targeted attack on her property. The white gloss paint was found on the bonnet, windscreen, wheel arch and passenger side door.

Mrs Fielden discovered the damage at 9.40am that morning and is eager for the public's help to bring the perpetrator to justice.

The CCTV shows the male, who was wearing a hoodie running off in the direction of Trotshill Lane.

Mrs Fielden said: “It’s not very clear but we think he decanted the white gloss paint into a bottle, squeezed it and threw it all over the car. The police say it’s quite a rare crime and have only had it twice in the last four years. It’s very personal. It was someone who has a grudge against me.

“I’m just very upset. My teenage daughter is very upset so this has caused distress to a child. It’s disgusting. "Your home is your safe place. It’s a very unpleasant experience. It’s bizarre and nasty. We work hard for the things we have. I don’t know why anyone would want to do that to me. I do a lot of good things. I volunteer for Home Start and for my local hockey club as the fixtures secretary. I’m very community minded."

The car was bought new two years ago for £38,000 and though she has yet to calculate the scale of the damage she estimates it will cost hundreds of pounds to repair. The driveway was also damaged as paint spilled onto it during the attack.

Mrs Fielden says she has also been made aware that two men in a white car were observed by a neighbour sitting outside her house on Wednesday, June 7) and were said to be 'clearly interested' in their home.

No-one has yet been arrested in connection with the incident which is being investigated by West Mercia Police who intend to examine the CCTV.
