IN the run up to Cradley Heath’s popular Women Chainmakers’ Festival this weekend, Old Hill Primary School is set to host a special event.
Nothing To Lose – a 1970s film which includes historic archive interviews with women in the chainmaking industry – will be shown from 4.30pm tomorrow (Tuesday, June 27).
The film also shows footage of women, who at a very young age, took part in the ground-breaking strike of 1910.
Being run by the Friends of the Women Chainmakers’ group, the free event will also feature a talk from special guest Sarah Boston – the director of the film.
