AWARD winning theatre company Harlequins Drama Group is celebrating its 10th anniversary by holding open auditions for its next performance.

Toe tapping musical Singin' in the Rain Jr will be staged at The Palace Theatre in Redditch in June 2018 - with real rain on stage each night.

The production team is looking for 30 strong performers aged 12 to 18 years of age to take on the challenge of tapping their way through this famous musical.

Open auditions will take place at the start of next year at The Woodrow Community Centre however registration is now open.

Candidates are to sing the title song, Singin' in the Rain, to the audition panel to showcase their vocal ability.

They will also be asked to sing a scale.

The group is also on the hunt for the next Gene Kelly with the need for male performers to make this show possible.
