KINGTON Show will host a mixture of traditional and exciting performances at this year's event.

After 150 years, the show continues to be the largest one day show in the county and promises to be a great day out for all the family at The Ovals Farm, in Kington, on September 9.

The traditional agricultural show will again including horse, cattle and sheep classes.

In the main ring, excitement will be provided by the world-famous Kangaroo Kid showcasing his quad bike stunts.

After the horse and livestock judging has taken place, the main ring will host the Grand Parade of livestock and the Interhunt challenge, including a hands-on experience with the hunt hounds for younger visitors.

There will also be trotting races and a vintage vehicle display. Elsewhere on the showground there will be displays from the Wye Valley Axemen, Van Buren's Illusionist Show, Animal Mania, Ferret World Roadshow, Owl World, the Bill Bailey Band, the Builth Male Voice Choir and much more.

Nearly 200 trade stands will be attending, including a food and craft marquee, a dog show, horticultural classes, shearing and YFC competitions. You can even try your hand at laser clay shooting.

In addition, there will be plenty of opportunity to eat and drink during the day at the wide variety of catering stands and the licensed public bar.

The show is on from 9am to 6pm, entry is £12.50 for adults, £5 for children aged 10 to 17 and under-10s are free.
