KEEN photographers have been invited to a meeting of the Worcester News Camera Club.

The event will bring together members of the Camera Club in person for the first time.

The meeting, at Worcester Racecourse, at 6.30pm on Monday, October 23, will be a chance for people to meet editor Peter John to find out more about how the club works.

They’ll also be able to discuss the pictures that feature in our Photo of the Day feature on page 2 of the paper everyday and find out how they can maximise their chances of their pictures being featured.

They will be invited to swap tips, share their picture ideas and hear about competitions, special offers and new features we have planned for our website and in the paper.

A representative from London Camera Exchange, which sponsors the Camera Club on Facebook and in print, will also be there.

They will be on hand to answer any technical questions and provide information about their own services.

Hundreds of people have joined our club after we launched it in the summer.

Members can join the Facebook group -by searching for Worcester News Camera Club - although they do not have to be in the group to be a part of the club.

Everyone who sends in pictures to be considered for any of our readers’ picture spreads are automatically classed as club members whether they send the pictures via Facebook or email them to photo@worcesternews.co.uk.

Members are also eligible to enter our loyalty scheme, which offers them the chance of receiving a discount on their home-delivered papers.

They also have the option to subscribe to our rewards scheme with lots of special offers and discounts available from High Street stores and supermarkets and entertainment and leisure providers.
