REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean paid a visit to an award-winning restaurant in Redditch to congratulate them on being crowned the best South Asian restaurant in the UK.
Redolence Spice was nominated into this year's Tiffin Cup by Ms Maclean, and head chef Emdadul Hussain cooked his way to victory in the grand final at the House of Commons last month.
Speaking after her visit to the restaurant, on Unicorn Hill, Rachel said: “It was fantastic to meet chef Hussain, the talented man behind the winning Supreme Bhoona Roast, and his son, Samiul, to congratulate them on this historic win.
“Redditch is now home to the UK’s best South Asian restaurant and Redolence Spice has surely put our town on the culinary map.”
Manager Samiul Hussain said: "It was nice to see how proud Rachel was of us, her smile was evident of that.
“It is great to see Rachel support small businesses on Unicorn Hill, I can see why she's a town favourite.”
