A SUSPECTED drug dealer has been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack and heroin and with driving offences.

We reported how drugs were seized at a pay and display car park in North Parade, Worcester on Wednesday morning.

Four arrests were made as investigations continue.

Remayo Sterling, aged 24, of Wythwood Grove, Tipton was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply heroin, handling stolen goods (the vehicle which is said by police to be stolen), driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court on September 17.

Two other males from Birmingham and one from Worcester were released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

Plain clothes detectives wearing gloves gathered evidence from the scene and placed the drugs in bags.

The arrests were made as part of Operation Blade, an initiative to cut the supply of class A drugs into smaller cities like Worcester from major cities including Birmingham and Liverpool.

Acting detective sergeant Luke Papps said officers were responding to concerns from the public about drug dealing and would act on information and intelligence supplied to them.

Operation Blade has already led to more than 100 arrests with one gang jailed for a total of 28 years after being arrested in Worcester.

Those who suspect drug dealing is taking place can contact West Mercia Police on 101.
