Waterloo Housing Group and developers Jessup Brothers celebrated the completion of 38 new homes in Worcester.

Resident Ms Alice Weston, together with her neighbour, planted a tree in Ambrose Close, Dines Green, to mark the occasion and said: “I am really happy with my new home, its beautiful, and I love that there is lots of open space outside.

“It’s a lovely neighbourhood.”

The new development was officially opened by the leader of Worcester City Council, Cllr Marc Bayliss, who expressed his delight at the completion of the new homes on land that the council had made available for Waterloo Housing Group.

He said: “This is a perfect example of how a true partnership can deliver new homes for the city.”

Anthony Riley, from Water Housing Group, said: “We are delighted to complete this scheme, as well as the scheme in Tintern Avenue, as we have managed to offer new homes to 50 local residents at affordable rent or through our Shared Ownership option.

“We look forward to working on more schemes with the City in the future, as we join forces with the local Fortis Living Group”.

Clive Jessup added: “Jessup and Waterloo Housing Group have worked for 30 years on such schemes and we are very pleased with the quality and design of the homes and wish the residents every success.”
