Jellyman on target as Town seal win

UPTON Town returned with a 4-2 win from bottom-of-thetable Winchcombe Town Reserves in Cheltenham Association League Division Two.

On a waterlogged pitch and without in-form midfielder Paul Amott, Upton started the brightest with Mark Watkins looking dangerous down the right flank.

A handball decision gave the visitors first blood with a penalty slotted away by Kristian Richardson.

Winchcombe soon equalised after a mix-up at the back and were on top until Alex Jellyman struck a sweet shot into the corner to again put Upton ahead.

Richardson soon made it three with a powerful finish into the roof of the net from an acute angle.

In the second-half, Winchcombe were under a lot of pressure but managed to pull a goal back to make the last 20 minutes interesting.

Upton weathered the storm and again Jellyman steered in a through-ball from Ben Nineham to seal the victory.
