County's finest in action

THE Paperstation Malvern League are holding their individual championships on Sunday, February 24, at Malvern Theatres.
More than 60 competitors will take part at The Forum, including many of the top players from Malvern, Ledbury, Worcester and Hereford.
Junior Michael Siket defends his title in the main singles as top seed with Chris Hewitt at number two.
The other seeds include Joe Higgs, Brett Brining, Nigel Foreshew, Craig Preece, Richard McKenna and also Graham Thompson. Players will also compete in the Division One singles, Division Two singles and doubles, veterans’ singles, super-veterans’ singles, ladies’ singles and doubles, junior singles and the main and mixed doubles.
During the afternoon, there will be a competition for youngsters from the league’s coaching club which is held on Sunday evenings during the season at Dyson Perrins Academy.
Play will begin at 9am and continue throughout the day with the finals due at around 6pm. Spectators are welcome.
