MALVERN’S Worcestershire League Division One match is intriguingly poised as Halesowen lead 2½-1½ with two games to be completed at a later date.

John Knee drew a quiet positional game and Ian Clarke held out to tie with a high board county player.

Brian Turner drew after mutual oversights but Geoffrey Herbert lost material and the game.

In the adjourned games, Matthew Jordan has a good chance of winning and Leigh Canham could clinch a draw which would tie the fixture and leave Malvern with a slight chance of taking the league.
