Welland Juniors Colts under 13s recorded their best result in two seasons with an 8-1 success at Warndon Villages Hawks in the Mercian Festival Junior League.

Megan Jones (2), Cameron Warner (3), Max Ryding and John Davies (2) scored the goals.

• Les Jones’ mid-table Malvern Town saw last weekend’s scheduled game at Bewdley Town postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Sixteenth-placed Bromyard Town tested out Casuals last Saturday but lost 3-0 at home.

They visit table-toppers Wulfrunians tonight (7.45pm).

In Division Two, Gordon Beauchamp (3), Oliver Endacott and Mark Owen fired bottom-of-the-table Malvern Town Reserves to an impressive 5-1 home victory over Penkridge Town.

Matthew Cole was among the scorers as Malvern Rangers were held 2-2 by high-flying Gornal Athletic Reserves.
