Knockout joy for Malvern
MALVERN had mixed fortunes, losing to Worcester City in the Worcester and District League but progressing to the County Knockout handicap semi-finals.
The town suffered two defeats against a strong Worcester side with Brian Turner losing quickly and Geoffrey Herbert after a long, stubborn resistance.
Ian Clarke and John Knee defended carefully to draw.
Malvern defeated Greenlands in the cup with wins from Matthew Jordan, Herbert and Tony Shaw as well as a draw from John Knee.
