LEDBURY Collection won the crucial top-of-the-table clash with CSSC Ramblers 7-3 in Paperstation Malvern League Division One.

A superb performance by Nigel Foreshew saw him win all his singles and the doubles with Craig Preece in five sets against Graham Thompson and Chris Hewitt.

Preece also enjoyed two singles victories and Harry Jutle one, while Hewitt replied with two and Alan Salisbury one.

Broadheath Belters maintained their challenge with a 10-0 whitewash of Pterodactyls Old Boys thanks to maximums from the unbeaten Ben Bennett, Brett Brining and new signing Dave Harvey.

In Division Two, Poolbrook Wanderers were in fine form, winning 9-1 against X Police with trebles from Dave Bradley, Charlie Burford and Stan Mason.

X Police replied with a doubles victory from Alan Preece and James Mulka against Mason and Bradley.

They also lost 8-2 to leaders Manor Park Travellers with Toby Wren recording another maximum and Ken Hipwell and Peter Stevens contributing two each. Steve Mulka claimed two victories in reply.

Scuttling Gang maintained their promotion challenge with an 8-2 win over Nomads thanks to a maximum from Richard McKenna and two wins each for Bill Smith and Chris Field. Dave Hayes responded with two.

Crackpots ‘D’ enjoyed a narrow 6-4 Division Three victory against Manor Park Crackpots and Tornadoes maintained their excellent form with a 7-3 win against Abbeydowne.

Devils whitewashed an undermanned Tekkers 10-0 and Crackpots ‘B’ defeated Poolbrook Panthers 7-3.

Panthers enjoyed more success against Abbey College, recording a 9-1 victory.
