LEDBURY Town suffered a crushing 9-0 demolition at lowly Hanwood United in West Midlands Football League Division One.
The hosts now only remain below Town in the table due to a points deduction.
A lot is at stake for Paul Mann’s struggling fourth-from-bottom side with three consecutive home clashes, beginning with Saturday’s encounter against Stone Old Alleynians (3pm).
However, Ledbury’s reserves climbed back into the Herefordshire League Division One top three with a 5-2 home win over Holme Lacy.
But a physical game produced a brawl at one point and a strong Ledbury line-up had a player sent off.
Curt Williams drilled them ahead after just three minutes and Gavin Walton fired in another soon after.
Zeki Koral added a third goal eight minutes into the second period and Tom Boyle scored another 10 minutes from time.
But Ledbury defender Pat Locke was then sent off for an alleged head-butt.
Despite two consolation goals from the visitors, Boyle chipped home a fifth for Ledbury, who visit Kingstone Rovers on Saturday (2.30pm).
