LEDBURY Collection have consolidated their lead at the top of Paperstation Malvern Table Tennis League Division One.

They recorded fine 8-2 victories over Crackpots 'E' and Ledbury Rovers and a 10-0 whitewash of Pterodactyls Old Boys.

Nigel Foreshew continued his hot form with maximums in all three matches, with Harry Jutle doing likewise against Rovers and Crackpots as did Craig Preece against Old Boys.

Matt Hodges and Colin Dolding scored notable victories for Crackpots against Ann Barnes as did Ady Marshall and Jack Castle for Rovers against Trevor Davies.

CSSC Ramblers kept up their title challenge with a 10-0 whitewash against Crackpots 'E' and a 5-5 draw with Manor Park Express with maximums for Chris Hewitt both times.

Pete Griffiths shone for Express, holding match point against Hewitt and defeating the reliable Alan Salisbury in four sets to earn his relegation-threatened side a superb draw.

Express also held Broadheath Belters to a 5-5 draw, despite another maximum from Brett Brining, thanks to two wins for Dale Dickenson and Dave Woodyatt and one for Ray Page.

Brining and John Stalker won the crucial doubles in five sets against Woodyatt and Dickenson. Toby Wren contributed Belters' other victory.

Express also defeated an under-strength Old Boys 6-4 thanks to two wins each for Dickenson, Woodyatt and Griffiths.

Ian Bell won two matches for Old Boys and teamed up with Graham Collier to take the doubles against Griffiths and Dickenseon.

Collier also enjoyed a close five-set singles win against Griffiths.

Ledbury Rovers defeated Manor Park Pumas 6-4 thanks to two wins each for Castle and Marshall and one for James Dance.

Castle and Marshall also combined to take the doubles in five sets against Jon Dyke and Geoff Woodward.

Woodward was unbeaten for Pumas and Dyke registered the other victory.

Ledbury Lions defeated Pumas 6-4 with a maximum from Patryck Kovacs, who also bagged the doubles with Steve Meredith against Dyke and Woodward.

Meredith and Richard Smith claimed one win each for Lions to earn the victory.

Dyke (2), Woodward and Dave Knowles replied for Pumas.

Lions also earned an 8-2 victory against Crackpots 'E' with maximums for both Meredith and Smith.

Colin Dolding replied for Crackpots with a close five-set victory against Kovacz and combined with Dave Steen in the doubles.
