BROADHEATH Belters continued their late Paperstation Malvern Table Tennis League Division One title challenge with a 7-3 victory over Manor Park Pumas.
Belters were fired by maximums from Brett Brinning, who did not drop a set, and Ben Bennett.
Brinning and Bennett combined to take the doubles against Geoff Woodward and Dave Hallam with the third set finishing 24-22 in a record points aggregate for the season.
Woodward, Hallam and Jon Dyke claimed one win each for Pumas in reply.
But Pumas then eased their drop fears with an 8-2 win over relegated Crackpots 'E'.
Three wins from Dyke were supported by two each for Hallam and Dave Knowles.
Colin Dolding bagged two for Crackpots but lost the doubles with Dave Steen against Hallam and Dyke.
In Division Two, Manor Park Rangers strengthened their bid for the runners-up position with a 7-3 victory over an understrength Nomads.

Dodd and Haggar combined to take the doubles in five sets against Hayes and Adrian Fray.

Thirty-nine of the 40 sets were won by Lions but Ethan Webb took the final one 13-11 against Richard Smith.
Dominic Weston only lost the second set to Smith 15-13.
