THERE was a major shock in the McDonald’s Worcester and District League's Bernard Finnegan Cup final.

Lower-graded Five Fathers beat hot favourites for the trophy, Clifton Rovers, 2-0.

From the first whistle, Fathers were quicker to the ball and showed more appetite for the match.

On half-time, Dan Yeomans gave them the lead from the penalty spot after Dan Coopey was brought down.

In the 58th minute, Fathers extended their lead when Coopey glanced a header into the corner of the net from Matt Shepherd's cross.

Clifton missed a glorious chance to get back into the match when Joe Bruce was fouled in the penalty area by keeper Dave Moriarty.

But Simon Mountjoy saw his spot-kick saved by Moriarty and Fathers then saw time out to win their first Worcester league trophy.

Droitwich Spa Eagles are the champions of the Sunday Division One.

They clinched the title with an emphatic 6-2 win at nearest challengers Hallow.

Man of the match, 17-year-old James Baldwin, scored twice with Eagles other goals coming from Tom Blunt, Alex Kolb, Alan Parkinson and Andy Hodgetts. Craig Harris and Kyonn Evans replied for Hallow.

Elsewhere, The Bell @ Pensax won 4-0 at Hallow Village and take the runners-up spot.

In the Premier Division, champions WCT Raiders won 5-2 at Callow End with Dan Polan notching a double.

With Worcester Raiders needing one point from their last two games to take the Division Two title, the battle is on for runners-up spot.

Northside hold a two-point advantage over Claines after a 4-2 victory over St John's.

Claines thrashed Malvern Victoria 11-2 with Tony Farnsworth netting seven and Darren Palmer three.

Division Three champions Brewers Athletic beat Worcester City Wanderers 4-1 with Ben Harbourne cracking a treble.

Hangover won 4-2 at Powick Reserves as Scott Barmby netted twice.

Riverside are the new leaders of Division Five after an 8-0 demolition of Sport Dysons.

Previous leaders The Bell @ Pensax Reserves crashed 5-1 at St Peters as Lee Ruff and Ed Jukes both bagged braces.

Coming through fast on the rails are Drakes Broughton Rangers, who crushed Droitwich Spa Eagles 'A' 6-1 for their fourth successive victory.

Hallow consolidated fourth place with Tom Genever grabbing a treble and Tristian Salisbury a double as they hammered Worcester Rileys 8-0.

In the Saturday Division, Powick smashed 10 goals past Malvern Vale without reply.

Dave Knapper hit a hat-trick and there was a brace each for Tom Morris and Matt Beckett.

Powick need just a point from their last match with Foregate to take the title.

Malvern Town Reserves are through to the final of the Martley Cup after a 4-2 win over VBL Sports.

WCT Raiders will be their opponents in the final.
