WORCESTER Nomads’ bowlers were put to the sword when they lost by 123 runs to Pedmore in Worcestershire League Division One.
After winning the toss, Ben Schiffmann asked the visitors to bat and his decision looked justified as Pedmore lost two wickets for 10 runs.
Despite a slow start, James Musk and Danny McDonnell (77) increased the scoring rate in a match-winning stand of 176.
Musk (98) had to retire with a shoulder injury after adding 54 runs with Dan Jones.
Jones (68 not out) and Wasim Ashiq (31no) continued to plunder the attack and set 326-3 from 50 overs.
In reply, Nomads made a steady start but could not come to terms with the required scoring rate.
They lost wickets regularly and their quest was not helped by a nasty-looking injury to Rich Henry (21 retired hurt) as the hosts looked to increase the tempo.
Sam Roberts (35), Lewis Austin (33) and Schiffmann (32) grabbed a third batting point for Nomads but their innings closed on 203-9 with James Burgoyne taking 4-36.
