LEDBURY made it three consecutive Marches Cricket League Division Two wins with a three-wicket victory over Woolhope.
In tricky conditions, Steve Evans won the toss and Woolhope batted first on a damp wicket.
The visitors’ batsmen struggled against accurate bowling from the bowlers, who were ably supported by fine fielding.
Neil Andrews removed both openers before Si Ritchie, Dave Nash and Jamie Turner chipped in with two wickets each in Woolhope’s 94-9 in 45 overs.
In reply, Ledbury lost Turner cheaply but then progressed to 48-1. After Matt Ehrlich (24) was caught, Woolhope took a flurry of wickets, including Luke Ledbury (16).
Paul Andrews (19) and Maurice Embrey (8 not out) enjoyed a partnership of 17 to lead home Ledbury, who visit Llandrindod Wells tomorrow.
