SIXWAYS summer recruit Tom Biggs is raring to get started after swapping Bath for Warriors.

The long-haired flyer has built a reputation for being one of the best finishers in English rugby over the years and is excited by the project at Worcester.

The former England Saxon said: "I came here because I wanted to have a big personal input into what Worcester are trying to build. I didn’t have much game-time last season and I want to be help make this club successful.

"The club is starting over after the ins and outs over the summer, but it’s about the new guys coming in and having a big impact and pushing forward.

"The amount of space at Sixways and the quality of the gym and pitches is exceptional. To have it all based at the ground makes everything a lot easier.

"I’m looking forward to the season and I cant wait to get going. Pre-season has been really tough.

"It’s a lot more running-based to what I've been used to in the past, so that’s taking some getting used to, but it can only help my game and hopefully I’ll be reaping the benefits when the season gets underway."

He added: "It was nice to start in Portugal last month and meet the lads and I feel like I've settled in nicely.

I know Lamby (Ryan Lamb) and I’ve worked with Sam Vesty and I’ve always held him in high regard. He was a very intelligent player and I've been enjoying the few sessions I've been doing with him so far.

"I’ve had quite a lot of work to do with moving house, so I haven’t been too sociable yet. I was so tired in Portugal after training I spent most of the time in my room.”
