BOSBURY continued their assault on the Marches Cricket League Division Four title with a six-wicket triumph at Burghill and Tillington thirds.

They won the toss and bowled first on a green wicket but could not capitalise on their chances.

Burghill reached 39 before teenager Ben Febery produced an inswinging ball to dismiss opener Callum Briggs (17).

Chris Stokes then took a catch behind off Febery but the hosts then enjoyed two 50-run partnerships, aided by sloppy fielding and dropped catches.

Bosbury clawed back with Jon Henry (0-26) bowling tightly and quick wickets in the final five overs left Burghill on 192-7.

The visitors opened their reply at a canter and were on 74-0 at the 10-over stage.

Andrew Duddell brought up his 50 off 33 balls and the 100 partnership with Febery arrived in the 16th over.

Duddell was out for 80 off 62 balls, leaving the score at 130-1.

Febery, who has been selected for Herefordshire under 15s, completed his 50 off 76 balls and was eventually dismissed for 95 with three runs required to win.

Stokes hit the winning runs as Bosbury, who host Dales seconds tomorrow, finished on 194-4 off 32 overs, taking 19 points.
