MALVERN are gearing up for the 2015 season with a series of indoor net sessions for senior players at Malvern College.

Always on the look-out for new talent, non-members as well as current Malvern players are invited to attend the sports centre for the next six Sunday evenings from this weekend through to March 29 from 6.30pm until 8pm.

Don Bendall, chairman of the Regency Road club in Malvern Link, said: “We currently run three Saturday league teams so there is scope for players of all abilities to enjoy this beautiful game.

“There may be people out there in their 20s, 30s, 40s or older who haven’t played recently and there may be others whose school days have only just finished.

“We want to tap into the vast market of cricket lovers who want to continue playing the game but maybe feel a little hesitant taking the first step.”

The net sessions in College Road are open to anyone over the age of 16.

As well as senior teams, Malvern boast a comprehensive junior section.

Malvern first XI open their Worcestershire League Division Two season at home to Bredon on Saturday, April 25.
