MEMBERS of Malvern Joggers tested themselves at a range of events.

Four went to Reading for the popular half-marathon, and Megan Judge continued her good form.

Ahead of next month’s London Marathon, Judge posted one hour 35 minutes 56 seconds, followed by Ian Walwyn in 1.41.17, Kareen Mann in 1.52.46 and Viv Tolley in 2.17.55.

Ten Joggers competed in the 25th anniversary of the Cleevewold 14-mile multi-terrain event, organised by Cheltenham and County Harriers.

The race started on Cleeve Common and took in picturesque views along the Cotswold Way.

It was a demanding course, offering a real challenge for competitors.

Joggers put in great performances and were led home by Jon Newey, who came third overall and won his age category in a time of 1.42.28.

Chris Smallman also won his age category in 1.52.51, and Sam Burnage clocked 1.56.12.

Trevor Matty ran 2.15.48, John Bryan 2.27.02, Julie Caseley 2.27.54, Paul Webb 2.30.34, Mark Cooling 2.38.47, Glyn Davies 2.42.34 and Lucy Poole 3.01.26.

Closer to home, a number of Joggers took part in the Pendock Spring Chicken Run, which is organised in aid of Pendock Primary School.

The event attracted a large number of young runners as it offered a choice of a one kilometre, 5km or 10km courses.

The course was multi-terrain across farm tracks, with a steep incline that is rewarded with stunning views of the Malvern Hills.

Members of the junior section of Joggers took part in the 5km event and enjoyed fine results.

J Toon recorded a time of 24.00, N Toon 25.10, E Tillott 25.33, M Wherry 25.56, E Staniforth 26.38, I Staniforth 26.41 and Y Jones 38.14.

The 10km route attracted more of the senior members.

Stuart Day ran 43.07, David Green 45.52, Andrew Gallagher 49.32, Amanda Duncan 52.59, Suzie Lane 53.18, Lynda Broadway 57.25, Lucy Gallagher 57.30, Julia Heron 57.30, Chris Jolley 58.33 and Annie Robson 1.12.19.
