LEDBURY Town Reserves put their Herefordshire League Division One title chase back on track with a 4-1 win at mid-table side Wellington Colts.

Gavin Walton scored a brace and fellow forward Dan Herbert also found the target twice for the high-flyers.

Walton’s opener came after just four minutes, before Wellington had a potential equaliser disallowed for offside.

His second goal came in the 39th minute as he crossed for Herbert and the ball was returned for him to score.

Herbert’s 71st-minute tap-in arrived when the ‘keeper parried skipper Jamie Welch’s header straight into the striker’s path.

He also bagged a penalty as the reserves reclaimed second place from Woofferton in the league.

Ledbury have games in hand over Woofferton and leaders Bromyard.

The determined hosts went ahead on 25 minutes with the experienced Derek Craddock’s curling shot past teenage ‘keeper James Loader.

Tupsley hit the bar with a second-half header before they netted a second on 57 minutes through Craddock’s deflected free kick.
