LEDBURY hold their annual junior registration day on Sunday at the Ross Road ground.

Starting from 9.45am, all are welcome to come along, whether newcomers or old colleagues back together after the summer.

As in the past, Ledbury hope the knock-on effect of the Rugby World Cup should mean an increase in participants across all year groups.

Following a successful campaign for both the seniors and juniors, the club are looking to do even better at all competition levels – but with the emphasis on inclusion, fun and fitness.

This year also sees plans to expand the participation of women’s rugby, with the ultimate aim of establishing a senior section.

With record numbers of players last season representing the Herefordshire and North Midlands squads, as well as training with Worcester Warriors’ academy, the target is to increase these numbers even further.

On the social side, the club also look forward to welcoming another prestigious guest speaker in Jason Leonard OBE, who is current president of the RFU.

The sportsman’s dinner will be in the Pavilion Rooms, Ross Road, on Thursday, November 12, and tickets are already selling fast.
