THERE was a shock result in McDonald’s Worcester and District Football League Sunday Division Two when leaders Colwall Village went down 3-2 at home to Clifton Rovers.

Alex Cope (2) and Damien Dutton were on target for Clifton, with Joel Hobbs and Ryan Shemwell replying for Colwall.

Hobbs later received his marching orders for two yellow cards.

Drakes Broughton Rangers moved to within two points of Colwall with an emphatic 5-0 win at fellow promotion challengers Ale Madrid.

James Padden and Will Hemming both bagged a brace for Rangers.

Lee Mitchell hit a hat-trick as Colwall St James crushed Hylton Road Rovers 5-1.

In the Premier Division, Callow End’s title hopes took a knock with a 2-0 defeat at The Gloster Arms.

Lee Hooper and Jamie Smith scored for Gloster, who move into fourth place.
