WORCESTER Nomads extended their lead over Colwall at the top of Worcestershire Cricket League Division One to 34 points with seven games remaining.

Nomads won by four wickets against Droitwich Spa, who had previously climbed away from relegation danger with three straight wins.

Paul Bryan top-scored with 42 in Spa's 147 all out as Cameron Blakey took 4-18 from seven overs.

Nomads reached their target within 35 overs as Oli Swift (39) and Richard Henry (35) were among the runs.

Colwall have suffered four defeats in the last seven matches with the latest being at third-placed Stourport.

Tom Coleman (47) helped the villagers to 209-8 with Matt Delo claiming 4-42.

Ethan Lockwood scored 67 and Andrew Siwicki 41 not out as Stourport triumphed by four wickets.

Worcester ended the ambitions of Hagley, who have slipped out of contention for honours.

Old Vigornians beat Malvern with Osman Fiaz making an undefeated 109 and they stay four points behind Bartestree.

Kempsey slipped up for a fifth defeat, this time at Avoncroft, and Himbleton thrashed Rushwick with Stuart Dickenson making 141 and Alistair Pretty 95.

Barnards Green made short work of Cleobury Mortimer and improved their chances of survival at local rivals Malvern’s expense.
