HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle is set to stick with Chris Barker at left-back for the home match against Slimbridge tonight.

Barker has been keeping Joel Edwards out of the side, but Beadle says he doesn't like making unnecessary changes.

"Chris has been doing fine and I don't like unsettling teams if they are doing well," said Beadle.

"Joel has hopefully got over his niggles and is chomping at the bit to play.

"He will be called upon when needed.

"Obviously we brought Chris in predominately as a centre-half, but he's played a lot of football at left back and he has done fine."

Pablo Haysham, Jamie Cuss and Jamie Oates are the only players unavailable for tonight's game due to injuries.

Hereford dropped their first league points last Saturday when a late Levi Landricombe free-kick saw Tiverton Town grab a 1-1 draw.

"I thought Tiverton wanted it more and were up for it," admitted Beadle.

"Speaking to their coach after the game, he said it was the best his team had played and it was probably the worst we had played.

"I was disappointed with how the team performed, but on the drive back, I had time to reflect and we go again tonight.

"We haven't had many home games lately, so it will be nice to play at home and I'm sure the players are ready to put on a good performance."

Slimbridge were unbeaten prior to losing 2-0 at home to North Leigh on Saturday.

"From the reports I've received, they've got a fantastic team spirit and they work tirelessly," added Beadle.
