HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle admits the amount of away games his team have endured have taken their toll.

This weekend's trip at Wimborne Town will be the eighth consecutive Saturday that the Bulls will have been on the road.

Hereford have lost their last two away games, but they will be buoyed by a dramatic win against Paulton Rovers on Tuesday night.

"These players have been fantastic and put their bodies on the line every week, but the expectancy levels are very high, which means they have to work tirelessly," said Beadle.

"October was always going to be a tough month because we've had seven Saturdays away from home and we've got another one this weekend.

"It's not easy being on the road and it's been a tough seven weeks, so it's bound to take its toll.

"The players have always been fit and strong, but we've had four cup games away from home against tough opposition.

"I wouldn't say they have been complacent, but maybe tiredness has played a part because it's been tough for them physically and mentally.

"I think we've been in control at times in the games, but I told them that if they keep making mistakes, they will get punished."

Beadle knows Wimborne will provide another test.

"They've had a good start to the season and they try and play football," said Beadle.

Tristan Plummer may be back after suffering a virus, but Jake Sinclair is set to miss out after sustaining a calf injury against Paulton.
