HEREFORD FC have confirmed that they were willing to move their scheduled game against Bideford to avoid it clashing with Westfields' FA Cup match.

However, Bideford are unable to accommodate, meaning both matches will be played at 3pm next Saturday (November 5).

"Having looked at a number of options, it has been accepted that it is simply not possible given the short notice, the league regulations that are in place, and the length of the journey Bideford will be undertaking to Edgar Street that weekend," reads a Hereford club statement.

"Bulls officials understand that some people will be disappointed that the two matches will be played simultaneously, which is why – with Westfields having liaised with the relevant bodies in relation to their FA Cup fixture being at 3pm on 5 November – Hereford FC were willing to explore every available option in terms of moving their own home game.

"However, this afternoon the Bulls received definitive notification from Bideford Town FC that they are unable to agree to any meaningful change to the date or time of the match that would alleviate the clash of fixtures.

"Everyone at Edgar Street would like to wish Westfields the best of luck ahead of their cup tie against Curzon Ashton – hopefully there will be a win double on the football field for the city that day."
