HANLEY Swan signed off their home campaign with a 6-2 thrashing of Falcons Reserves in Cheltenham League Division Three.

They started slowly and Falcons had the better of the early play, taking the lead when a defensive error let them in to score.

Hanley began to settle down and it was not long before Ash Bloore broke and scored with a shot in off the post to level.

The hosts created a number of chances with Jackson McMullen, Cathal McTernan and Luke Duffett all going close.

Hanley finally took the lead just before half-time when Bloore made a good individual run, beating a number of defenders before scoring with a low shot.

The second half saw them start to dominate the game and minutes into the half a good cross from McTernan was met by Kevin Moore who slotted the ball home.

Hanley's fourth came in the same fashion with a McTernan cross converted by Moore.

Midway through the half a McMullen free-kick was headed on by Moore and Lewis Hill was on hand to head the ball into the net.

Hanley should have gone further ahead when Hill unselfishly passed to Bloore but his effort was saved.

James Holloway then had a powerful shot saved.

Hanley were finally rewarded when following a goalmouth scramble Duffet hit the ball home.

Falcons did not give up and scored a consolation goal late on.
